The Yorkshire Team Foil Championships is for teams from clubs in the Yorkshire Region of British Fencing. In addition the event will include a ‘Visitor’ category for teams from outside the Yorkshire Region to join in the event. There will be a limit of 16 teams. The event will be run on the basis of an initial round of poules of 4 teams followed by direct elimination with every place being fenced. This means with 16 teams, every team in the competition will get a total of 7 matches!!! All participants should be members of British Fencing and should be 13 or older on the 1st January 2026. There will be medals for the top 3 Men’s and top 3 Women’s teams and for the top ‘Visitor’ Team. Teams may be mixed, though mixed teams will compete for the Men’s prizes. Fencers clothing and equipment should conform to British Fencing Policies & Guidelines for Senior Events. This event is licenced by British Fencing. The competition is run and organised by Sheffield Buccaneers Fencing Club, after completing the details below and entering, payment details will be sent by email. Refreshments are not provided and fencers should bring their own food and drink.
The Under 14 Team Foil Competition is open to any any team representing clubs from both Yorkshire and beyond. Teams may be mixed, both boys and girls. All team members must be under 14 on the 1st January 2026 and should be individual British Fencing members at ‘Compete’ level. There will be a limit of 8 teams. Once the limit has been reached, no further entries will be accepted. There will be medals for the top 3 teams. The format will be a round of poules followed by direct elimination and all places will be fenced off.
